{- Dude, Where's My Horse -}
    v100.0
    rel. June 3, 2007
    created by scruggs.

{- About this Update -}

  v100.0 removes an erroneous function call from one script. The previous version of the mod would not work unless OBSE was running. This version works with or without OBSE.

{- About the Plugin -}

  There's nothing like the sense of satisfaction you feel after cleaning out a big dungeon, and finally making your way back out into the warm sunlit forests of Cyrodil, lootbags overflowing, body weak from battle...until your mood sinks in annoyance as you scan the horizon, one question on your mind: "Hey, where'd I park my horse?"

  I don't use the fast travel map, and my character being a stealthy type, I like to leave my horse a fair distance from the entrance to a dungeon so that I can sneak up undetected on any enemies standing guard outside. So, rather than make the effort to sharpen my memory retention skills, I made this little plugin to let me know exactly where I left my trusty steed. This plugin provides you with a quest marker pointing directly to your last ridden horse, any time you need it.

  The original version of this mod was very popular, but suffered from a lack of compatibility. It only worked with the standard horses included with Oblivion. Horses added by other mods, including the official Horse Armor plugin, could not be tracked on your compass.

  This new, improved version fixes that problem.

{- Installing the Plugin -}

  1. Copy Dude Wheres My Horse.esp into your Oblivion\Data folder
  2. Start the Oblivion Launcher and check the box next to the .esp.
  3. Start the game.

{- Playing the Plugin -}

  This plugin keeps track of the location of the horse you've most recently ridden. You can see that location by setting Where's My Horse as your active quest and then viewing your map. Or, set the quest as active and then follow the marker on your compass.

  When you first install the plugin, the quest and marker will be unavailable until you mount a horse. Thereafter, the quest is available and the marker will always point to the location of your last ridden horse.

  If your horse dies and his corpse disappears, the marker will vanish as well.

{- Bugs/Compatibility -}

  There are no bugs of which I'm aware.
  This plugin should be compatible with absolutely any other mod. That is, in fact, the whole point.
